This position is based onsite at our Rehabilitation Center in Rochester, NY, facilitating a dynamic setting where you will engage directly with patients of varied backgrounds and age groups. The center is equipped with modern therapy tools and resources, designed to promote effective rehabilitation techniques. • Examine and evaluate patients to identify functional limitations and disabilities, developing tailored treatment plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care, providing informed consultations on patients' rehabilitation and progress.
• Interact empathetically and professionally with patients and their families, upholding our high customer service standards at all times.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, detailing findings, and documenting treatment and discharge plans to meet regulatory and professional standards.
• Educate patients and significant others on treatment plans, ensuring they understand the goals and methods of rehabilitation.
• Supervise and mentor assigned support staff, including Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and interns, while managing department resources effectively.
• Encourage collaborative communication among the interdisciplinary treatment team, ensuring alignment on patient care strategies.
• Participate actively in staff meetings, community outreach initiatives, and ongoing professional development through workshops and continuing education programs.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional documentation standards.

You will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and those with chronic conditions affecting their mobility. Our center serves a diverse population, and your role will be essential in adapting treatment approaches to meet individual cultural and clinical needs, ensuring every patient feels respected and understood throughout their rehabilitation process.

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is mandatory.
• Avalid State License in Physical Therapy must be maintained.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in modern word processing and electronic documentation systems.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and approach each task with professionalism and kindness.

• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist in a rehabilitation or clinical setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment approaches and a patient-centered care philosophy will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
