Social Media & Community Engagement Coordinator (Part-Time)

Lori's Natural Foods – Rochester, NY
Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour, based on experience
Hours: 20–40 hours per week

Lori's Natural Foods is looking for a creative, outgoing, and community-focused Social Media & Community Engagement Coordinator to help grow our online presence while strengthening our connection with the Rochester community.

If you're passionate about social media, love staying on top of trends, enjoy creating engaging content, and thrive on building relationships, we'd love to hear from you.

This position will begin primarily in-person to learn the business, team, and brand, with the opportunity to transition into a hybrid schedule over time.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute engaging social media content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other emerging platforms
  • Plan, create, and schedule content using a content calendar and social media management platform
  • Monitor social media activity, engage with followers, and respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner
  • Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and emerging content ideas
  • Capture photos and videos throughout the store, highlighting products, events, employees, and local vendors
  • Create email marketing campaigns and promotional email blasts
  • Work closely with Lori's leadership team to promote store initiatives, sales, new products, and events
  • Collaborate with our external marketing consulting firm to ensure consistent branding and messaging
  • Track engagement metrics and recommend strategies to continue growing Lori's online presence
  • Support community outreach efforts, including donations, sponsorship requests, partnerships, and local events
  • Help strengthen relationships with customers, local organizations, farmers, and community partners
  • Assist with additional marketing and promotional projects as needed
What We're Looking For
  • Experience managing social media accounts for a business or organization
  • Strong understanding of current social media trends and best practices
  • Experience creating engaging content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and email marketing
  • Experience using content scheduling or social media management platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative eye for photography, video, and storytelling
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Comfortable collaborating with both internal teams and outside marketing partners
  • Community relations, public relations, nonprofit, or donation coordination experience is a plus
  • Graphic design experience (Canva, Adobe Express, etc.) is a plus
