Youth Sports LEAD Official -Soccer
We are seeking a motivated and dependable LEAD Official to oversee gameday operations for our weekend programs. This role is responsible for leading a team of officials, ensuring smooth and organized events, and creating a positive, fun, and safe experience for all participants.
The ideal candidate is a confident leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively, and is passionate about youth sports development.
Leadership & Game Day Management
  • Lead and support a team of officials, ensuring all games start on time and run efficiently.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to new and returning staff.
  • Manage staff scheduling, rotations, and break periods throughout the day.
  • Serve as the on-site leader and primary point of contact for all game day operations.
  • Address conflicts or concerns in real-time with professionalism and sound judgment.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for staff, players, coaches, and families.

Venue & Equipment Oversight
  • Set up and break down all equipment required for gameplay.
  • Ensure the venue is clean, organized, and fully prepared before the first game.
  • Conduct routine safety and quality checks before, during, and after events
  • Maintain a professional and welcoming environment for all attendees.
  • Lift, carry, and transport equipment (up to 30 lbs) as part of game day operations.

Communication & Team Collaboration
  • Communicate clearly with coaches, players, parents, and staff.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to officials.
  • Address questions or concerns in a calm, respectful, and solutions-focused manner.

Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Prior officiating experience required (youth sports preferred)
  • Previous leadership or management experience required (sports, coaching, or event operations preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of rules and gameplay
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Comfortable working with children and families in a dynamic environment
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends throughout the season
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and performing setup/breakdown duties
