INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:Interns will complete a structured internship designed to provide real-world experience in sports management, with exposure to both operational execution and strategic, data-driven decision-making.Preparing the venue for practice and competitionCoordinating with meet manager and officials throughout the competitionInventory of all track & field equipmentLeading a Kids Fun Run Series and Community Running SeriesWill complete an internship to gain real-world experience in sports managementSome students may have longer or shorter practicum requirements with less time commitment and commitment length will be addressed individuallyWe will develop an intern schedule to accommodate any individual requirements (i.e., class commitments)Interns may be required to help during special events and additional projects that are not related to their specific areaMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Excellent oral and written communication skillsStrong desire to learnAbility to work in a team environment, as well as independentlyDemonstrate success with multi-tasking and organizing multiple prioritiesSelf-motivated and has initiative to complete tasks in a timely fashionWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must be willing to work outside for extended periods of timeMust be able to lift 30 poundsPREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:Currently a student or a new graduateA student majoring in finance, business administration, sport management or related field
