Provide support as directed by designated supervisor.
JOB SUMMARY

This project involves designing and implementing a GUI-based software framework for real-time data collection and data management to be connected to and used with the Swim team's power tower system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and implement a GUI-based software framework.

  • Operate and collect real-time data from the Power Tower unit (not limited to operating other similar systems that record performance measures).

  • Organize data into documents that are easily accessible and readable by coaches and athletes.

  • Document and communicate technical work succinctly.

  • Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner.

  • Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU's Christian model and Mission - Training Champions for Christ.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALSEducation and Experience
  • Pursuing a four-year college degree, with a concentration in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related program in progress.

  • 1+ years of experience in programming is strongly recommended.

  • Experience with databases, backend logic, APIs, system design, data modeling, and software architecture preferred.

  • Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written.

The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled setting. It is well-lit, and the noise level is moderate. The working environment may include the facilitation of events outdoors occasionally.

Driving Requirements

If the employee is required to travel in performing the duties and responsibilities of the position, the use of one's personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel. Proof of a valid driver's license, an acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance is required when driving in the performance of the employee's position.
