Job description

Tumble Brook Country Club, located in Bloomfield, CT, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Assistant Director of Racquet Sports! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of racquet club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in racquet and community management.

Role Type:
Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assists the Director of Racquet Sports with daily department operations both on and off the court
  • Performs off-court duties including pro shop support, answering phone calls, member communication, light maintenance, and general facility upkeep
  • Delivers on-court instruction through private lessons, group lessons, clinics, and camps
  • Assists in organizing and facilitating member events, tournaments, and social programming
  • Maintains courts and supports overall facility presentation
  • Learns and delivers pickleball instruction as needed
  • Attends required meetings, events, and tournaments as directed
  • Maintains proficiency in club software systems related to racquet sports operations
  • Supports department needs with flexibility in scheduling, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Performs other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Previous racquet sports, tennis, or country club experience preferred
  • Playing ability at a 4.5 level or higher (collegiate experience preferred)
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, POS systems, and membership databases
  • Strong customer service experience
