Job description

Move IT! Sports – Youth Sports Coach (Basketball)

Position: Youth Sports Coach (Basketball)

Pay: $30–$50 per hour (based on experience)

Move IT! Sports is seeking energetic, dependable, and positive coaches to lead elementary-aged students (ages 3–12) in our afterschool basketball programs. Coaches will teach fundamental basketball skills while creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment that builds confidence, teamwork, and a love for sports.

Program Details:

  • Afterschool program
  • 1 hour per week
  • 10-week sessions
  • Opportunities for bonuses and rehire for multiple sessions throughout the school year

Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching and/or coaching youth sports is preferred
  • Experience working with children ages 3–12
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Must be able to pass a DC Public Schools background check and drug screening
