$260,000 – $420,000+

A leading international law firm is seeking a Sponsor Finance Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing private equity sponsors, lenders, borrowers, and other financial institutions in sophisticated leveraged finance transactions.

Ideal Background

3–6 years of sponsor finance, leveraged finance, debt finance, banking, or commercial finance experience

• Experience representing private equity sponsors, lenders, borrowers, and financial institutions in financing transactions

• Experience with leveraged acquisitions, acquisition financings, syndicated credit facilities, and other secured lending transactions

• Experience drafting and negotiating credit agreements, commitment letters, security documents, and related financing documentation

• Experience managing transaction workstreams and coordinating with clients, opposing counsel, and other advisors

• Strong working knowledge of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code and secured lending concepts

• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills

• Ability to work directly with clients and assume significant responsibility

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
