Job Title: Splunk .NET MVC C# Developer
Location: St. Paul, MN (Hybrid)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Interview Mode: Microsoft Teams


Project Overview

We are seeking a full-time Software Developer to support modernization and security enhancement of enterprise Archive Services applications, with strong focus on Splunk integration and .NET development.

The selected candidate will assist with rewriting and supporting .NET web services and object-oriented applications while helping build Splunk solutions end-to-end.


Key Responsibilities
  • Train Software Development teams on Splunk fundamentals including reporting, dashboards, events, search, APIs, Knowledge Objects, and data models.

  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement Splunk-based solutions to modernize Archive Services.

  • Translate business requirements into technical design and programming specifications aligned with system architecture.

  • Implement enterprise solutions following established application development and security standards.

  • Build, deploy, and test applications using automated CI/CD tools.

  • Recommend cost-effective technical solutions that meet business objectives.

  • Review QA test cases and test plans.

  • Execute unit and integration testing.

  • Communicate complex technical concepts and introduce new tools or methods.

  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders.

  • Provide documentation and knowledge transfer.

  • Provide ongoing application support and security updates.


Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years developing Splunk applications, dashboards, APIs, and logging solutions.

  • Proven ability to:

    • Develop Splunk apps using Splunk APIs

    • Administer Splunk dashboards

    • Deliver Splunk technical training

    • Collaborate on enterprise Splunk solutions

  • 7+ years ASP.NET MVC development with C#.

  • 5+ years unit testing experience (NUnit or JUnit).

  • 7+ years experience with HTML/CSS.

  • 7+ years experience with JavaScript.

  • 5+ years advanced CSS experience.

  • Experience with Entity Framework.

  • Strong T-SQL skills with MS SQL Server.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

  • Experience developing Windows Services using .NET Framework 4.0+.

  • Experience with XML Schemas and XSLT.

  • Experience with REST/SOAP Web Services and Web API.

  • Experience with CI/CD automation using GitLab or GitHub.

  • Experience with Bootstrap 4/5 and jQuery.

  • Knowledge of Domain Driven Design (DDD).


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with law enforcement or criminal justice systems.

  • Experience supporting application modernization initiatives.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
