Splunk SME should be able to lead and mentor the team members in usage of Splunk. This person should be able to formulate a vision on the optimal usage of Splunk for customer's application portfolio which then has the possibility of expanding for rest of the business unit.
Requirements and Responsibilities:
• Script, query and parse log data using regular expressions in Splunk.
• Monitor common log sources (e.g., operating systems, databases and applications).
• Hands-on expertise with Splunk for security event gathering, processing, alerting, and reporting.
• Hands-on expertise with creating and modifying Splunk dashboards and alerts.
• Strong communication skills.
• Help to document best practices in developing and using Splunk.
• Work with business/IT and create the next steps plan and implement the same.
