Splunk SME should be able to lead and mentor the team members in usage of Splunk. This person should be able to formulate a vision on the optimal usage of Splunk for customer's application portfolio which then has the possibility of expanding for rest of the business unit.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

Script, query and parse log data using regular expressions in Splunk.

Monitor common log sources (e.g., operating systems, databases and applications).

Hands-on expertise with Splunk for security event gathering, processing, alerting, and reporting.

Hands-on expertise with creating and modifying Splunk dashboards and alerts.

Strong communication skills.

Help to document best practices in developing and using Splunk.

Work with business/IT and create the next steps plan and implement the same.

Power User certification is required
