Receptionist - 2026

Position Type Seasonal

Description

Job purpose

A receptionist manages all types of regular office work, as well as cashiering and miscellaneous tasks. The receptionist handles the office phones, answering questions about the park, and selling passes to guests; however, the job is not limited to exclusively that.

Duties and Responsibilities

Guest Relations

  • Helping guests.
  • Working with Department managers and other office staff.
  • Using the phone heavily.

Sales

  • Informing guests about the park.
  • Informing guests of their options.
  • Selling one day passes and season passes.
  • Handling money, both cash and credit cards.
  • Using a computerized point-of-sale system heavily.

Specialty Sales

  • Selling/printing season passes.
  • Processing and printing online orders.

Park Information

  • General park information.
  • Ride/slide types, locations and information.
  • Ride/slide safety requirements.
  • Food stands and their locations.
  • Bathroom locations.

Cleaning

  • Cleaning windows.
  • Vacuuming the office.
  • Taking out the trash.
  • Keeping the office looking its best.

Office Tasks

  • Preparing online orders for shipment.
  • Sorting mail.
  • Handing out paychecks to employees (when they are in the office).
  • Helping other office staff members.

  • Maintain professional appearance following all uniform guidelines.
  • Attend all required department, interdepartmental, and park trainings.
  • You may be assigned to other duties as necessary.
Qualifications

Must be a minimum of 16 years old.

Minimum requirements:

  • Have phone skills.
  • Be able to speak well with guests.
  • Have organizational skills.
  • Have the ability to multitask.
  • Computer experience preferred.
  • Cashier experience is not required and no other minimum qualifications necessary. Will train the right candidate.

Working conditions

  • The position of receptionist works within the air-conditioned office on a regular basis but may work outdoors occasionally.

Physical requirements

  • They must have the ability to carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Applicant should be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
