Job description

Aquatics Supervisors will ensure a fast, friendly and safe service to our guests while supervising swimmers and riders, enforcing rules, performing rescues, providing first-aid, and more. Aquatics Supervisors will have direct oversight of Aquatics Leads within their assigned section(s); assisting where needed. Aquatics Supervisors will assist the Aquatics Managerial(s) on coaching and guiding the Aquatics team. This is a seasonal position from May-September. 


  • Overseeing assigned section(s) including supervising swimmers and riders, enforcing rules, performing rescues, providing first-aid, and more.  
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and training new Team Members 
  • Creates and maintains a positive, high performance team culture generating increased retention, motivation, and team morale 
  • Ensures all daily paperwork, employee trainings, and all other documents are completed and filed 
  • Operate attractions, pools, and slides with a safety-first mindset 
  • A first responder for Guests’ in Distress (GID’s) and provide support 
  • Performs daily inspections on assigned attractions and complete all safety checks prior to opening 
  • Performs daily inspections on assigned section(s) including park grounds, lifeguard equipment, etc. And is ready for operation 
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained within assigned section(s) 
  • Understand all E&A Lifeguard rescue techniques, first-aid, and CPR 
  • Attend 4 hours of In-Service every month to maintain E&A Lifeguard License 
  • Perform general cleaning duties for pathways, locker rooms, breakrooms, parking lots, caterings, and more with the highest quality level of cleanliness 
  • Hosing down walkways, seating areas, towers, etc. 
  • Vacuuming and maintaining pool cleanliness 
  • Adhere to bio-hazardous waste disposal procedures and preform all related duties in compliance with Fecal Matter Exposure Policy 
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment 
  • Maintain Six Flags’ Guest First Standards 
  • Conducting audits to measure department success 
  • Communicating team or park related concerns to the Managerial(s) on duty  
  • Enforcing all Six Flags policies 
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or as necessary to support the Aquatics Department and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown 

  • Must be at least 16 years of age 
  • Must be able to exit pools unassisted 
  • The Special Facilities Lifeguard certification level will be required to swim a distance of 200 yards, retrieve a 10-pound brick at a depth of 10 feet, and tread water without the use of arms and hands for 2 minutes. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision 
  • A clear demonstration of excellent Guest Service skills and an evident commitment to our Guest First philosophy 
  • Adhere to Park Attendance Policy as stated in the Six Flags Seasonal Handbook 
  • The availability to work flexible hours and varied shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays 
  • The ability to stand and walk for long periods of time outdoors in various weather conditions including but not limited to extreme heat and sun 
  • Meet the physical demands of the job, including bending, pulling and lifting up to 60 lbs. alone or 100 lbs. with assistance, with or without reasonable accommodation
