We are seeking a motivated Lab Supervisor to lead daily workflow and operations for our field services teams in Midland, TX.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader to oversee daily operations, staffing, workflow, and employee development while ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable quality standards, client requirements, accreditation criteria, and regulations. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with relevant technical expertise, sound judgment, and a demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.



What You'll Do

  • Lead day-to-day operations and provide supervision, direction, and support to assigned team
  • Assign and prioritize work while coordinating staffing, scheduling, workload distribution, training, and coverage
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, development, and performance management
  • Oversee workflows, capacity, resources, service commitments, and turnaround times to support efficient and reliable operations
  • Ensure equipment, systems, tools, and supplies are properly operated, maintained, documented, and ready for use
  • Troubleshoot technical, equipment, documentation, and workflow issues, escalating complex concerns as appropriate
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with approved procedures, quality systems, client requirements, safety standards, and applicable regulations
  • Review data, records, and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, traceability, and compliance
  • Support audits, investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to resolve operational and customer-service issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related scientific discipline
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible analytical laboratory or comparable technical experience within a regulated environment,
  • with advanced technical knowledge applicable to the assigned function
  • 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience, including workflow coordination, employee development, and performance management
  • Demonstrated experience supporting quality systems, safety programs, audits, investigations, corrective actions, or process-improvement initiatives in a regulated environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and applicable operational systems
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Work Schedule & Travel

  • Full-time, onsite position
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, holidays, or on-call coverage based on operational and customer needs
  • Local and overnight travel may be required based on assigned responsibilities and business needs
