Job description

Job Title: Mobile Fleet Mechanic / Truck Technician

Summary:

Join FleetEasy, Company of Family, as a fleet and diesel technician.  FleetEasy is our parent brand that includes Motorplex, Pro-Tow, and Pro-Enviro.  We are your dealership alternative and provide a well clean and safe shop for you to settle in and grow your career fixing things, solving problems and making a difference.   Our company is small enough to know  and use your first name, but large enough to provide stability and security for your family. We have great shop tools, equipment, and diagnostic tools that help make you a better tech.   Working alongside nice people with good attitudes that care about the work we do.   Even better, having the support to learn new things with teammates that want to help you and can help you get through hard jobs.

Shift Schedule:

Work 4 days per week, 10 hours per day or 5 days per week and 8 hours per day.   On Call Overtime Shifts.

What makes the FleetEasy Company of Family different?

  • Our core values:  Character, Discipline, Caring, Unique, and Growth
  • Our priorities:  Safe, Damage Free, Successful, Paid, and Fun
  • Unique and different jobs being part of a repair shop, towing company, and spill responder gives you a variety that many find fun.

What It's Like to Work Here?

Our company is owned and operated daily by the founder and his wife, however, the best part of working here is we have a lot of good people that are willing to help each other  We want you to grow your skills at work, but also at home and in the community.  Good people make great teammates.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on fleet, trucks, and heavy-duty vehicles from a well equipped Sprinter Van.
  • We have our own fleet of tow trucks, and that is part of our work.  However, we also have many outside clients that depend on us to keep their trucks and fleet on in service.
  • Some of your work will be InShop, but you will also be working OnSite.
  • Able to fix things, solve problems, and figure stuff out.
  • A clean and organized tech is a productive tech, so that is what we expect.

Expectations of You:

  • You must be aligned with our core values (see above).  Not just speak it, but act it.
  • You need to have completed tech school and completed a variety of continuing education.
  • You need to have earned a living in truck or fleet repair for 2 years.
  • You need to have invested in at least $3,000 in your own tools, and likely a whole lot more.
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and criminal background check.
  • Reside within 45 Google minutes of Auburn Shop.

Time Off:  We honor at least 90% of all time off requests, because we understand and support your need to provide for your family and enjoy time outside of work.  This means, however, sometimes you will be asked for someone else that is taking time off.

Not sure, but would like to start a conversation!

We are not the average shop, and we are not looking for average people.  We are, however, looking for good people that will be part of our long-term vision.   Go ahead and apply even if right now is not the right time.  If it is meant to be, it will be.

Sincerely,

Keith Lewis
