Job description

Job Summary:

The production supervisor is responsible for overseeing spice manufacturing at Elite Spice and ensuring all spices processed meet food safety and quality requirements. The production supervisor will enforce all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’S) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and ensure production operators are maintaining a sanitary work environment.  Work shift schedule is Monday through Friday, 2pm - 10:30pm.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for monitoring day to day production operations and workload allocation
  • Be present on the production floor and available for employees to ask questions and report any problems or concerns to
  • Monitor employee productivity/performance and provide constructive feedback and coaching
  • Responsible for training, evaluating, and disciplining department employees
  • Maintain department timekeeping
  • Verify department paperwork for accuracy and sign off on required documentation
  • Communicate relevant information for shift handoff
  • Assist in reviewing and resolving department complaints
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
  • Enforce and comply with all of Elite Spice’s policies, procedures, general safety, and food safety guidelines
