Role Description This is a part-time or full-time, on-site Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) role based in Lake Elsinore, CA. The SLPA will support licensed Speech-Language Pathologists by implementing treatment plans, conducting guided therapy sessions, and assisting with individual and small-group interventions. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing therapy materials, following documentation protocols, tracking client progress, and maintaining accurate records in accordance with professional and regulatory standards. The role also involves collaborating with supervising clinicians, caregivers, and educational or clinical teams to support carryover of communication goals across settings. The SLPA will participate in regular supervision, adhere to ethical and confidentiality guidelines, and contribute to a positive, client-centered environment.

Qualifications

  • Foundational skills in speech and articulation, with the ability to support clients in improving clarity and production of speech sounds.
  • Knowledge of speech therapy methods and basic treatment techniques under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Understanding of communication and communication disorders, including receptive and expressive language needs, to help implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Current or eligible Speech-Language Pathology Assistant certification or licensure in the state of California, in accordance with state regulations.
  • Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or approved SLPA program completion in Speech-Language Pathology or a closely related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with supervisors, clients, and families.
  • Ability to follow clinical directions, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations, or in clinical/educational settings, is preferred.
  • Commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive, and non-discriminatory practices with diverse clients and families.
