Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) – School Setting

Location: Early Learning Building
Population: Students ages 3–5 years old
Contract Length: 42 weeks
Start Date: December 24, 2026
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Interview Process: Virtual interview with the SPED Director

Position Overview

The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) works under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support the delivery of speech and language services to preschool-aged students. Responsibilities include treatment implementation, documentation, educational support, and clinical activities in accordance with the supervising SLP's plan of care and physician directives.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an SLPA program with an Associate Degree, OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Completion of at least 100 hours of supervised fieldwork/clinical experience (or state-required equivalent)
  • Current SLPA certification/licensure in the state of practice
  • Compliance with all professional standards of practice
  • Preferred: 1 year of SLPA experience
  • Current TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray as required)
  • Current health certificate (per state or contract requirements)
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Minimum age: 18 years
Compensation

Local SLPA

  • Pay Rate: $42/hour
  • Weekly Gross (37.5 hours): $1,575
