The Senior Manager, Cloud Strategy & Transformation is responsible for leading client engagements that help organizations assess, plan, govern, and accelerate their cloud transformation journey. This leader serves as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CTOs, Infrastructure Leaders, and Business Executives, helping clients develop cloud strategies, business cases, operating models, governance frameworks, and transformation roadmaps that align technology investments with business outcomes.

The role combines consulting, cloud strategy, financial analysis, operating model design, and transformation leadership. The Senior Manager is expected to develop client relationships, contribute to business development activities, and deliver measurable value through cloud adoption and modernization initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Readiness & Strategy

  • Lead enterprise cloud readiness assessments across people, process, technology, security, and operations.
  • Evaluate current-state infrastructure, applications, data platforms, and operating models to identify cloud opportunities.
  • Develop cloud adoption strategies aligned to business objectives, risk tolerance, regulatory requirements, and growth plans.
  • Define cloud migration and modernization roadmaps that prioritize business value and operational impact.
  • Facilitate executive workshops to align stakeholders around cloud transformation objectives.

Business Case Development & Financial Modeling

  • Build executive-level business cases that articulate strategic, operational, and financial benefits of cloud adoption.
  • Develop ROI, TCO, NPV, and cost-benefit analyses supporting migration, modernization, and managed services investments.
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities across infrastructure, operations, licensing, and support models.
  • Present recommendations and investment strategies to executive leadership and governance committees.

Cloud Operating Model Design

  • Design target-state cloud operating models that align technology capabilities with organizational objectives.
  • Define organizational structures, roles, responsibilities, and decision rights across cloud teams.
  • Establish cloud service management, platform engineering, FinOps, DevOps, and support operating models.
  • Develop cloud center of excellence (CCoE) frameworks and organizational enablement strategies.

Cloud Governance & Risk Management

  • Define cloud governance frameworks, policies, standards, and controls.
  • Establish cloud accountability models covering security, compliance, architecture, financial management, and operations.
  • Design governance processes for workload onboarding, architecture review, security approvals, and cost management.
  • Collaborate with security, risk, and compliance stakeholders to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.

Business Development & Practice Growth

  • Support sales pursuits, solution development, and proposal creation.
  • Participate in client discovery sessions and executive briefings.
  • Develop thought leadership, methodologies, accelerators, and consulting assets.
  • Mentor consultants and managers while helping grow the cloud consulting practice.

Experience

  • 5+ years of consulting, cloud strategy, enterprise architecture, infrastructure transformation, or technology advisory experience.
  • 5+ years leading large-scale cloud transformation initiatives.
