Division Information

Job Summary
The Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for managing a third-party logistics provider (3PL) at a Spectrum brands facility. The Distribution Center Supervisor will monitor and coordinate with the 3PL daily to ensure site operations of receiving, inventory management and shipping to Spectrum Brands and our customers are being met. The Distribution Center Supervisor will display leadership, cooperation and a continuous commitment to operational improvements.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Partner with Spectrum Brands' 3PL provider to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring service levels meet customer expectations and company standards
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Spectrum Brands and the 3PL, facilitating effective communication, issue resolution, and alignment on operational priorities
  • Develop and execute daily and short-term operational plans with the 3PL, adapting to changing business needs with a focus on flexibility, execution, and accountability
  • Provide oversight of warehouse-related projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and performance expectations are achieved
  • Analyze information across suppliers, carriers, site operations, and customer requirements to make informed decisions; proactively escalate risks, service issues, or constraints to leadership
  • Partner closely with Quality to ensure compliance with Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), customer requirements, and all shipping and quality KPIs
  • Collaborate with Transportation and Supply Chain partners to optimize service and cost, driving efficient movement of product to customers
  • Oversee site operations supporting the facility, including equipment capacity and maintenance, yard and site upkeep, and utilities management
  • Ensure a strong safety culture by overseeing site safety programs, compliance, and training activities in partnership with the 3PL
  • Manage and monitor site budgets, operating expenses, and vendor relationships, identifying opportunities for cost control and continuous improvement

Education and Experience Profile
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience in a high-volume environment leveling larger 500K to 1M square foot operations
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation management TMS planning
  • Demonstrated Lean Warehousing and continuous improvement experience
  • Experience in budgetary creation and reconciliation along with an understating of balance sheets and P&L statements is highly desired
  • Experience with an ERP system, preferably SAP is required
  • Experience with safety and training is highly desired

  • Proven accomplishments in cross-functional team environments and Third-Party Logistics (3PL) engagement including asserting oneself to obtain very high output levels related to ready to ship percentages, cost reductions, increases in quality levels and other key performance indicators
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated with the ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently and timely

The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions as well as hot and cold environments. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and flammables. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Must have the ability to complete a hands-on mechanical machine operational test as well as a written test.
