Job description

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Network Engineer to perform as an implementor for leading edge information technologies and methodologies to join our dynamic team in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.

Our team provides full spectrum network connectivity including architecture, engineering, development, integration, deployment, configuration management, project management and network security services to the global enterprise, as well as systems and cloud engineering services for application modernization and transition of legacy applications into hybrid cloud platforms.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 12 years of IT related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or related discipline is required. Fifteen (15) years total of IT related experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
  • Active DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher is required (i.e. Security+).
  • Experience in at least two (2) of the following areas:
    • Network troubleshooting
    • Routers/switches
    • Cisco IOS/Junos OS
    • Firewalls
    • Hubs/Bridges/gateways
    • Network packet investigation/analysis tools
    • Database tools
  • Experience providing highly technical and specialized guidance and solutions to complex IT problems.
  • Active/current TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.

Target Salary Range$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
