Job description

Job Summary:
Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence. The Network Engineer will support a secure, world-wide communications infrastructure by providing architecture, design, development, testing, and implementation of network services for various network types.
Responsibilities:
• Support a secure, world-wide, and highly reliable communications infrastructure by providing Architecture, Design, Development, Testing and Implementation of Network Services for Wide Area Networks (WAN), Campus Area Networks (CAN), Data Center Networks (DCN), and Satellite Communications (SATCOM).
• Perform as a consultant for leading edge information technologies and methodologies.
• Provide full spectrum network connectivity including architecture, engineering, development, integration, deployment, configuration management, project management and network security services to the global enterprise, as well as systems and cloud engineering services for application modernization and transition of legacy applications into hybrid cloud platforms.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Minimum of 10 years of IT related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or related discipline is required. 15 years total of IT related experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
• Active DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher is required (i.e. Security+).
• Experience in at least two (2) of the following areas: Network troubleshooting, Routers/switches, Cisco IOS/Junos OS, Firewalls, LAN/WAN/CAN, Hubs/Bridges/gateways, Network packet investigation/analysis tools, Database tools.
• Experience providing highly technical and specialized guidance and solutions to complex IT problems.
• Ability to perform elaborate analyses and studies and prepare reports and give presentations.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
Preferred:
• Experience performing DDI (Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and IP Address Management (IPAM)) for critical network infrastructure services.
• Experience supporting MultiCloud Fabric (MCF) infrastructure.
• Cloud engineering and modernization experience.
