Job description


Spectrum Healthcare Resources is actively recruiting for a Part-time (evening) Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner at the Dumfries Health Center in Dumfries, Virginia to support the active duty and dependents in the National Capitol Region.
This opportunity will offer:
  • Supportive environment
  • Access to specialty services to include pediatrics, radiology, pharmacy and lab; all located in the same building
  • Full complement of benefits to include medical, dental & vision insurance, 401k, life insurance and more
  • Paid time off and Sick Leave, Paid CME time, and 11 paid Federal Holidays per year.
  • All patients are Tricare insured to include active military, qualifying veterans and their dependent

Scheduling
  • Urgent Care hours are of 7am to 8pm Monday through Friday & 8am to 2pm on Saturday.

Aspects of the UCC
  • 2-3 patients per hour
  • Extension of the ED at Ft. Belvoir
  • If a patient is presented that exceeds the scope that can be seen in the clinic, patient is transferred to the nearest ED
  • BLS only facility-No crash carts
  • Will not typically see overflow from our primary clinics
  • Support staff (Nursing & MA)
  • Stable culture with Senior Physician & Nursing leadership

Job Requirements:
  • All active State licenses accepted
  • At least 1 year of experience working Urgent Care/ER
  • Active BLS and ALCS certifications
  • Active DEA registration
