We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Therapist, MSW LSCW to join our mental health and behavioral care team in Valparaiso, Indiana. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations, over the lifespan and will be committed to providing evidence based, sensitive interventions. DUTIES:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health and behavioral assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and trauma specific interventions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, art therapy and applied behavior analysis.
-Provide individual and family counseling sessions tailored to client needs.
- Engage in case management activities, including intake procedures, client communication, and coordination with other healthcare providers.
- Collect and maintain accurate medical documentation and clinical records in compliance with HIPAA and ethical guidelines.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques and crisis intervention strategies to support clients during critical mements.
- Work with children with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Ensure compliance with clinical ethical guidelines while maintaing confidentiality and professional standards.
EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience in office and community care settings or clinical environments providing mental health counseling.
- Background in addiction counseling, trauma informed care, PTSD management, and crisis management.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in behavioral health or child & youth therapy programs.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation and working within HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
- Skilled in evidence based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy ( CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral therapy, and case management.
- Experience conducting mental health assessments for diverse populations and working with families.
- Ability to manage conflict resolution and gender issues counseling while maintaining a client-centered approach.
- Knowlege of clinical ethical guidelines for mental health professionals.
