Location: Poway, CA
Job Type: Contract | Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cable Assembler III to join a leading Aerospace & Defense manufacturing team in Poway, CA. This position is responsible for assembling, wiring, soldering, and testing electronic and mechanical assemblies while working from engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Candidates must have strong attention to detail and experience working in a high-quality manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications (Must Have)
• 3+ years of Cable Assembly or Electronic Assembly experience
• Experience using:Hot Tweezers, Soldering Equipment, Calipers, Tape Measure
• Ability to: Read and interpret Blueprints, Read Engineering Drawings, Understand Wire Lists, Interpret Specifications and assembly instructions
• Experience with: Cable Harness Assembly, Wire Harnessing, Soldering, Electronic & Mechanical Assembly
• Basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to distinguish colors
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications

Soldering Certification
Aerospace or Defense manufacturing experience
Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble electronic and mechanical components according to engineering specifications.
Build and install cable assemblies, wire harnesses, chassis, printed circuit boards (PCBs), panels, LRUs, batteries, and servo motors.
Perform wiring, soldering, crimping, and cable harness assembly.
Set up, adjust, and maintain required assembly tolerances.
Disassemble, modify, repair, and reassemble components as needed.
Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
Follow all safety procedures and quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Assist in training and supporting junior assemblers when needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

- 3 or more years of cable assembly, electronic assembly, wire harness assembly, or mechanical assembly experience.
- Hands-on experience using hot tweezers, soldering equipment, calipers, tape measures, hand tools, and precision measuring tools.
- Experience with cable harness assembly, wire harnessing, soldering, electronic assembly, mechanical assembly, and PCB assembly.

- Ability to read and understand blueprints, engineering drawings, wire lists, specifications, and assembly documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic computer skills for production, documentation, or work instruction systems.
- Strong attention to detail, quality focus, and ability to work to precise specifications.
- Good visual perception and ability to distinguish colors accurately.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work extended hours or overtime when required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
