Job description

Job Summary:
The Scientist & Development Specialist position is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of mass spectrometry assays for drugs, hormones, and other analytes. This role involves hands-on bench work, method validation, and collaboration in R&D initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring innovative ideas for assay and process development while ensuring accurate and
efficient testing in a clinical laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Plan, develop, and implement LC-MS and ICP-MS assays for drugs, hormones, and other analytes.
-Perform clinical sample testing as authorized by the Medical Director.
-Review calibration, quality control (QC), and patient results to ensure accuracy and compliance.
-Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate mass spectrometry instrumentation.
-Manage inventory and procurement of laboratory reagents and supplies.
-Maintain comprehensive documentation for maintenance, QC, and quality assurance (QA)
programs.
-Train laboratory staff on newly developed methods and protocols.
-Report project status, timelines, and deliverables to management.
-Identify issues, assess alternatives, and recommend appropriate solutions.
-Apply advanced techniques and methodologies to improve analytical performance.
-Generate reports and data analytics related to assay performance and process improvement.
-Exhibit strong time management, planning, and execution to meet project goals.
-Demonstrate consistent performance, professional values, and interpersonal skills.
-Maintain high productivity in a dynamic clinical laboratory environment.
