This position works out of our Altavista, VA location in the Abbott Nutrition division. What Youโ€™ll Work On

  • Safely operate both complex and standard high-speed production equipment that makes our industry-leading nutrition products
  • Maintain inventory of packaging materials
  • Complete workorder documentation
  • Perform quality checks
  • Clean equipment and the production environment
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues

Youโ€™ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Shift

This is for the night shift.  Example of shift:

Shift Hours: 6pm to 6:30 am, on a rotating basis.

Week One: Mon - On / Tues - On / Weds - Off / Thurs - Off / Fri - On / Sat - On / Sun - On

Week Two: Mon - Off / Tues - Off / Weds - On / Thurs - On / Fri - Off / Sat - Off / Sun - Off

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6 months prior manufacturing experience
  • Good written/verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, analytical troubleshooting skills and the ability to multitask

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritionals
  • Experience with tools and equipment related to the position or experience as a Sr. Production Equipment Operator is desired
