Job description

Full-time · Hourly, based on experience · Must live in McKinney or an adjacent suburb

About the role

Any Lab Test Now McKinney gives people direct access to thousands of lab tests — no doctor's order, no insurance runaround. New tests get added every month, which means the work stays interesting and the person in this role gets to learn constantly.

You'll be the face of the store. You'll greet customers, explain testing options, perform draws and specimen collections, and handle the front-desk and back-office work that keeps a small, fast-moving location running. If you like variety, want real ownership of your store, and don't need someone standing over your shoulder, you'll do well here.

What you'll do

  • Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen collections with confidence and care
  • Walk customers through test options and help them choose what fits their needs
  • Process orders, manage specimen handling and shipping, and keep the store organized
  • Pitch in wherever the team needs it — small store, everybody wears a few hats

What we're looking for

  • Phlebotomy student, certified phlebotomist, or 1+ year of hands-on phlebotomy experience
  • Genuinely good with people — most customers are nervous, and you're the reason they relax
  • Organized and self-directed; you notice what needs doing and do it
  • Comfortable with change and willing to step outside a job description when it helps the team
  • Able to lift 30 lbs regularly
  • Must live in McKinney or an adjacent suburb (reliable, short commute is essential)

Schedule

This is a full-time position that requires open availability across our operating hours:

  • Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Saturday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Shifts are scheduled within those windows. We are not able to accommodate partial availability, class schedules that conflict with store hours, or second jobs during these times.

What we offer

  • Competitive base hourly pay, set by experience and skill
  • Comprehensive paid training in our software, product catalog, and sales methodology
  • A direct line of sight to how your work grows the business — and room to grow with it
  • Small-team environment where your ideas actually get heard

Please note: this position does not include health insurance benefits.

Before you apply — the honest details

We'd rather tell you up front than surprise you later:

  • All applicants complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • You'll be asked to perform a live blood draw as part of the interview, so come prepared to demonstrate your technique
