Pride Health is hiring a Specimen Processing - Pre-Analytical Assistant I to support our client’s medical facility in following cities, Miramar, FL. This is a 3-month assignment and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Pre-Analytical Assistant I to support specimen processing and laboratory operations. This role performs essential pre-analytical functions in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment and requires accuracy, reliability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Sort, rack, centrifuge, and aliquot laboratory specimens.
  • Pick up, transport, deliver, and store specimens according to established procedures.
  • Identify issues involving specimen types, missing information, and test-order requirements and assist with timely resolution.
  • Follow procedures related to specimen handling, test ordering, compliance, and safety.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and within established timeframes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with workplace standards.
  • Meet quality and productivity expectations following training.
  • Support departmental staffing needs, including occasional weekends, holidays, overtime, or on-call assignments as required.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Medical or clinical laboratory background preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and specimen types is a plus.

Additional Information:
  • Location: Miramar, FL
  • Job Type: 13-week contract
  • Pay Range: $17 - $20 (Hourly)
  • Shifts: Mon – Fri, 9:30 PM–5:30 AM
