Job description

Summary:

The Global Product Specification Manager (GPSM) manages factory-direct relationships withEngineering Design Firms, EPCs & key end users for VOC, market & program development purposes. The GPSM harnesses the power of data trend analysis to identify key product gaps(and proactive plans to fill them) in key markets worldwide, while structuring NPI projects to alignwith the Signet Global Product Roadmap. The GPSM is a strategic leader, relationship - builder, and sales enabler who is equally comfortable in conversation with engineers and salesprofessionals. The GPSM aligns front-end priorities with Operations and supports the GSS withcritical issues that touch EPCs or end users. This role operates within both the 'tactical' and'execution' levels of the organization, where cross-functional communication & reputation arecritical success factors.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Specification & Design: Work collaboratively with GF sales teams, channel, & individuallywhen necessary to establish relationships with EPCs & Engineering Design Companies tostrengthen the Signet specification knowledge base and access trend data. Identify keypartnerships and product gaps in international markets. Take ownership of businessdevelopment in critical international sales channels & territories.
Engineered Solutions: Contribute to success of Signet specials (including the skid designroadmap) & VAS through system - level market & opportunity analysis. Facilitate partnershipsand manage communication with customers. Collaborate with Product Managers and GFdivisions as necessary to promote a smooth and organized development plan & productlaunch. Collaborate & engage with Industrial & engineering design teams to maximize processefficiency in Specials delivery.
Product Strategy: Identify NPI opportunities for Engineered Solutions and internationalmarkets (all products). Build a funnel of development opportunities and projects approved
through M1. Own & the competitive product matrix for Signet. Collaborate with stakeholdersto update market segmentation database.
Project Management: Manage key projects and programs (as project manager) as needed.Ensure engineering & development plans align with Signet & GF strategic initiatives.
Operations Alignment with Sales Expectations: Manage 'specials' backorders related tomaterial shortages and keep key stakeholders / customers updated. Lead front-end +Operations engagement projects designed to reduce communication friction and optimize task flow between departments. Coordinate key customer - interest projects that requireindustrial design updates. Represent the Product Management department as key
representative for OpEx & industrial improvement projects. Be the loudest 'voice of the
Irwindale customer' in operational pain points and CS gaps. Implement initiatives designed to make
Signet customer - friendly.
Completes Role Standard Work and performs additional duties and responsibilities asassigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, business, or a related field required
6+ years of experience in product management, engineering, industrial design or equivalent
(process automation product experience is a big plus).
Demonstrated success manufacturing / industrial engineering, or front-end operations
(marketing / sales / product management) or similar is a plus.
Experience working with PLM and ERP systems, knowledge of CRM systems is a plus

The employee is required to stand and walk as required with frequent periods of travel.

peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Traveling on planes, trains and automobiles.

Salary Range: 105k - 149k + Bonus
