We are looking for a talented Machine Tool Electrician, II responsible for the planing, wiring, and installing complex control and instrumentation components for high-performance LINK equipment across company facilities and customer sites. This role guides machinery builds, mentors team members, and serves as a primary technical liaison between engineering, project management, and LINK leadership.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Apply electrical knowledge towards the assembly and wiring of LINK Equipment (NFPA79).
  • Wire electrical components including solenoids, switches, sensors, telemetry systems, 3-phase motors, and specialized LINK equipment/dynamometers.
  • Wire and unwire high-power drops to power up machines for startup and teardown procedures.
  • Plan electrical box locations, mount boxes, secure electrical cabinets on machine bases, and install electrical panels into cabinets.
  • Understand, implement, and lead the electrical "ring out" process before handing machinery over to the validation team.
  • Review the Open Items List (OIL) and collaborate with the validation team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Fit and adjust cabinets, mount electrical boxes, conduit including rigid, EMT and LFMC, and specified machine components to close tolerance and create symmetry.
  • Follow wiring schematics and understand control, instrumentation, and high power to wire LINK equipment.
  • Effectively communicate with team members on topics such as missing parts/inventory, blueprint concerns or changes, etc.
  • Assist other team members on projects as needed.
  • Perform machine installation at customer sites.
  • Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.
  • All other related duties as assigned.
  • Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate Degree in Electrical or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience wiring machine tool equipment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Deep technical knowledge required to wire 24V, 120V, 240V, and 480V systems safely.
  • Mastery of control, instrumentation, and high-power wiring.
  • Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints, identify system components, understand system operations, and spot design mistakes.
  • Ability to identify panel and field electrical components and explain exactly how they operate.
  • Experience soldering specialized Amphenol and Bendix connectors.
  • Strong understanding of lockout/tagout (LOTO) safety practices
  • Proficiency with basic hand tools, drilling/tapping, ferrule crimpers, sta-kon crimpers, heat guns, knockouts, wire strippers, wire cutters, and both hand and electric conduit benders.
  • Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback, follow directions and use LINK workbooks as a guide to build and wire machines
  • Knowledge of NFPA 79 or 60204 is a plus.
  • Panel building experience is a plus.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to use a computer.
  • Able to work evenings and/or weekends as required.
  • Able to travel up to 10% domestically.
