THE PERFECT SETTING FOR ENJOYMENT, RECREATION AND HEALING
Located in Burton, Texas in a tranquil setting, encompassed by lush landscape and rolling hills, the 206-acre camp site features more than 100,000 square feet of facilities, two lakes, nature trails, wooded areas and cleared areas for a wide range of activities. The smoke-free facility is fully accessible and designed to foster campers' independence. Camp For All is the national leader in creating and providing proven life-changing experiences through passionate and professional staff, cutting edge facilities and innovative programming.  


The Housekeeping technician assists in assuring that Camp For All facilities are clean and sanitized in a timely manner for Partner groups. He/she should ensure Texas Department of Health standards are maintained in all pertinent areas.  This position is an important part of making the magic happen for our campers!  As a camp that serves many different challenges, the cleanliness of our facilities is vital for the camper experience.  Our housekeeping team works year-round with some weekend and evening hours expected when campers are onsite.


List of Essential Duties

Communicates effectively with Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Coordinator in order to complete daily and weekly job duties.

Reports maintenance needs for repairs and recommendations for maintenance needs to Supervisor/Coordinator,

Maintains inventory supplies and housekeeping equipment

Investigates new and improved cleaning instruments and methods

Reads and interprets documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. 

Maintains flexible work schedule, with the ability to work extended hours as needed

Trains on the operation of all housekeeping machinery

The Housekeeping Technician reports to the Housekeeping Supervisor and Coordinator

The Hourly Rate for this full-time position starts at $15/per hour. Camp For All will also support membership and training that furthers employee professional development.

All of the programming is "universal," meaning that the activities can be accomplished regardless of the campers' challenges, be it mobility, emotional or learning issues. Camp For All provides an environment that is free of the barriers in the everyday world, such as 8-foot-wide sidewalks to maximize mobility in wheelchairs, sloping entrance into the pool with a special lift, ramps and myriad special saddles to aid horseback riders, low beds with wide space in cabins and large accessible showers and toilet areas. This culture of inclusion is underscored throughout the camp site and is truly built to "level the playing field" for all. Camp For All is the only recreational facility that accommodates the special needs community in this way. 


Requirements

High School graduate or general education degree (GED) equivalent.  Years of experience may be substituted for the educational requirement.

Minimum of three years' experience as a housekeeper in a professional setting

Specialized knowledge of Hazmat issues is expected or ability to learn.

Intermediate level of computer literacy is preferred, including the ability to read spreadsheets and prepare schedules, process data, understand basic inventory and accounting software and research products.

Experience using power washers, vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbing machines, computers, trailers, washers and dryers, and floor shampoo machines.

Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50lbs, perform some strenuous physical activity. No special visual requirements.
