Special Events Manager
Highly Regarded Social Services Nonprofit
Miami Area - Remote
Salary Range Gladly Provided Upon Request
Terrific Special Events Manager position with a highly regarded social services nonprofit in Florida. This role will operate remotely and be based in the Miami area.
The Manager will join the organization during an exciting period of growth. This includes a six year, $100+MM fundraising campaign to support significant expansion of programmatic services throughout the state. The role will be integral in the planning and execution of special events including cultivating relationships with sponsors and securing sponsorships.
Responsibilities:
  • Create and execute large scale special events
  • Ensure that volunteer event committees are staffed
  • Manage event timelines ensuring they stay on track
  • Maintain and build event sponsorship pipelines
  • Attend events and represent the organization
Qualifications:
  • Approximately 3+ years of relevant experience planning and executing fundraising events
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
  • Demonstrated track record securing event sponsorships of $25,000+
  • Experience leading large galas and other fundraising events
  • Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and possess a strong attention to detail
  • Team player that works well in a collaborative organization
  • Mission-driven and ability to convey the organization's mission to donors
