Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Create an inviting socialized experience for all guests in the area by encouraging the gaming public to participate in all casino related drawings and promotions.
Emcee all casino or property wide events and promotions.
Provide excellent guest service by answering questions, giving directions, supporting marketing initiatives and solicit interest and sign-ups for casino events.
Entertain guests during their play by creating a festive and upbeat environment. To engage guests through appropriate interaction and nurture extended time in play.
Observe gaming activity and relay security concerns to appropriate personnel. Provide support to the Box Office and VIP Lounge when requested.
Perform event management, record tournament and event data, and complete and reconcile post event reports and audit packets.
Help to prepare for, set-up and execute all casino events and promotions within the property.
Create corresponding collateral for all casino events and promotions
Communicate accurate information to guests regarding hours of operation, Hotel services, directions to local attractions or function rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, etc.
Move throughout the casino floor at a speed sufficient to satisfy guest needs.
Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Must possess interpersonal skills to deal effectively with business contacts and team members at all levels of the company.
Must possess a strong attention to detail.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, staff, guests, and general public.
Ability of complex reading, writing, and task completion as well as simple math skills is required.
Must have the following skills: clerical, compiling, coordination, analyzing, instructing, precision working, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, and decision making.
Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in special events, casino events, or hospitality is preferred or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License & Alcohol Awareness card.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is occasionally sitting, walking, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, crawling, balancing and constantly standing during the duration of their shift.
Must be able to lift/carry or push/pull 10lbs or less constantly and up to 75lbs occasionally.
The team member will constantly have repetitive use of both hands and require frequent light grasping motions and occasional firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be constantly required.
Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work performed consistently indoors alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others around computer equipment, mechanical devices, and other electrical devices.

Team Member may be exposed to odor and/or secondhand smoke.
