Job description

As the Event Sales Manager, you are responsible for generating revenue by marketing, selling, and managing projects and events across a growing portfolio of event venues. This role builds strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners while guiding events from initial inquiry through successful execution and delivering a world-class client experience.
About the role
  • Generate revenue by marketing, selling, and managing events across portfolio of premier event venues
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from initial inquiry through event execution, including conducting venue tours, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and coordinating event details
  • Execute day-to-day event operations by overseeing event setup, breakdown, and on-site activities to ensure a seamless client experience
  • Create event floor plans, event resumes, and other planning documents to support successful event execution
  • Reconcile event costs through the preparation of contracts, invoices, and payment schedules
  • Recommend preferred vendors to clients and ensure all vendors comply with venue policies and guidelines
  • Collect certificates of insurance from all clients and vendors
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and community partners to generate new business and repeat bookings
  • Sell beverage packages and maintain a comprehensive understanding of beverage offerings and policies
  • Coordinate with audio-visual, security, parking, facilities, catering, and other internal and external teams to ensure all event preparations are completed
  • Coordinate venue maintenance needs and facility improvements with internal teams and outside contractors as needed
  • Assist with marketing initiatives, including social media content, website updates, venue photography, and promotional materials
  • Manage and respond to sales leads generated through event management platforms and other lead sources in a timely manner
  • Stay informed of industry trends and participate in networking and professional development opportunities
  • Complete all required compliance and safety training

About you
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3 years of experience in event sales or event/hospitality management
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Flexibility to work unusual and often long hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
