Who We Are

The magazine is a global media vehicle currently headquarters in the “New York and New Jersey metropolitan area”, that aims to revolutionize the publishing industry. Currently, we are a fully remote publication with the goal of recruiting 120 new magazine personnel and volunteers throughout the United States, and globally. Our main mailing address is at: 13 Municipal Plaza, Box 1845, Bloomfield, New Jersey 07003. BUTO’s mission is to shine a light on as well as set new and upcoming fashion trends for both women and men. We also seek to provide an alternative to the standard publications of today, by providing readers a more traditional array of ideas conspicuously absent in today’s fashion and news magazines as well as the news media. The magazine primary focus is to help America, and the world over to heal from the ongoing climate crisis; violence, bigotry, misogyny, disenfranchisement (of people's rights and privileges—especially minority voters); and the constant bombardment of disinformation by some in today’s media. We are not just a fashion vehicle, but a “Powerful Movement” that plans to change the world, and its' people for the better by stitching all people together under one broad, sustaining, and beautiful quilt.

We plan to accomplish this mega-task by inspiring women and men to explore and celebrate [style] in every aspects of their lives to reveal their similarities, as opposed to the differences. We want people to be more tolerable of other individuals “non-destructive” choices, rather than outright condemnation. And to be more aware of, and have a better understanding of the wider-world—and their individual place in it. JOB DESCRIPTION

Direct and coordinate everything from small to large-scale events for BUTO magazine or joint programs with BUTO and external affiliations. It an exciting and glamorous position for the right people oriented individual. The position entails a lot of travel, people to people interaction and negotiations. The Events Director coordinates and manages promotional, entertainment, social, fashion/retail events to ensure the smooth and successful outcome of events as planned. The Events Director is totally responsible for audience development, staffing, communication with all stakeholders, and the organization of the physical and conceptual design of the events program. The includes the handling of guest, performers, audience or participants, technical resources, food and beverages, special licenses, go or no-go approvals, and the event's overall mission and/or vision. In other words, the Event Director ensures the program goes off without a hitch and the audience is fully engaged, and the company (BUTO) objectives have been met—to cultivate solid relationship with event's target audience and revenue growth.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute entertainment, gala, social, and educational events ensuring seamless logistics and an outstanding attendee experience.
  • Establish goals and objectives for all events, and implement strategies to achieve the necessary results and/or surpass revenue target(s).
  • Ensures that event(s) meets health, legal, and safety standards in accordance to federal, state and local laws.
  • Handle all logistic related to proposed event, including locating venue and conducting research of for safety issues, fire exits, audience capacity, parking, food and beverage placement, insurance obligation, and special licensing required.
  • Responsible for communicating with stakeholders to keep them abreast of planning efforts, and any possible problems.
  • Organizing event's planning meetings with staff and affiliates to provide direction and feedback from program workers to make certain of they are aware of the event's objectives and everyone is on the same page.
  • Communicate with near by hotels for and arrange advanced accommodations for anticipated guest.
  • Possess strong and certain problem solving, and organizational skills. Additionally, to set clear, direct, and comprehensive objectives for event and define and communicate Company's (BUTO's) program objectives to all stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with budgets, develop event ROI model, and negotiate with vendors while forecasting event's total operational cost.
  • Manage on-stage set-ups, technical elements such as; audio, stage lighting and photography/video production.
  • Manage events set-up and tear down including staff and affiliates. And conduct exit meeting with staff, client(s), and venue administrators.
  • Delegate and organize staff schedules, as well as direct workflow of each staff member for effectiveness, and precision.
  • Provide end report to upper management of events outcome: highlighting pros and cons in a timely fashion.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Must perform other duties, and implement additional projects as required by the Publisher or Editor-in-Chief.
