Description
Dwight Securities Management (“DSM”) is an actively managed real estate investment trust specializing in the origination and financing of commercial mortgages across a range of real estate asset classes. DSM works in conjunction with affiliate firm Dwight Capital to source and evaluate lending opportunities nationwide.
DSM is seeking a Vice President to lead regional capital raising and intermediary distribution efforts across our Western Territory. In this senior role, you will be responsible for sourcing, developing, and managing high-value relationships with financial advisors, wealth management teams, RIAs and platform contacts for our real estate credit platform and private lending platform. You will sit in-market and work closely with dedicated internal sales support to drive asset growth and deliver high-touch service across your territory.
Location: Remote Los Angeles, San Francisco, CA

Responsibilities
• Lead capital formation and business development efforts within the Western Territory across targeted intermediary channels (RIAs, wirehouses, private banks, and broker-dealers)
• Cultivate, expand, and maintain senior-level relationships with financial advisors, key decision-makers, and wealth management teams, driving institutional-quality engagement in full compliance with applicable securities regulations and firm policies
• Oversee and direct Central territory strategy, partnering effectively with internal sales support to manage pipelines, prioritize key accounts, and coordinate meeting prep, marketing collateral, and follow-ups
• Conduct high-impact, face-to-face and virtual presentations detailing platform fund strategies, market insights, portfolio positioning, yield characteristics, and competitive advantages
• Engage with regional platform leadership, field managers, and home office contacts to expand product availability and maintain active mindshare across key wealth management firms
• Serve as a senior brand ambassador for DSM at industry conferences, regional advisor symposiums, and institutional roundtables across the region

Required Qualifications
• Active Series 7 and Series 63 (or Series 66) securities licenses
• 5–8+ years of successful capital raising or external sales experience within wealth management, asset management or private markets, with a proven track record in the private wealth ecosystem
• Established network of strong relationships across RIAs, wirehouses, private banks, and independent broker-dealers in the Western region
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in financial services
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with strong presentation ability for virtual meetings and client interactions
• Understanding of alternative investment product dynamics across RIA and broker-dealer channels
• Experience utilizing CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and financial sales tools, along with a demonstrated ability to effectively leverage modern workflow and AI productivity tools
• Strong organizational and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment
• Demonstrated competence with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Desired Qualifications
• Deep knowledge of private real estate finance, direct lending strategies, private REIT structures, and alternative investment distribution dynamics
