Your Role

As a Gensler Brand Designer, you will help our clients tell their unique stories effectively via every channel available in today's diverse media landscape, with a focus on spatial design. The Brand Design team is embedded in a studio alongside Consulting, Architecture, and Interior Design practice areas, creating a unique opportunity to develop multidisciplinary solutions for our clients.

What You Will Do

  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team of architects and designers to design graphics, branded environment, and signage + wayfinding solutions that connect people to places for diverse client projects

  • Conduct research for the organizational, cultural, and physical context surrounding a project

  • Generate multiple initial concepts and develop viable, documented design solutions that help solve a variety of problems for our clients

  • Integrate messaging, color, imagery, type and composition into two and three-dimensional built environments

  • Prepare final documentation and production-ready artwork for 3D/EGD, print, or digital applications

  • Collaborate with clients, design teams, and other graphic designers across multiple industries

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, industrial design, environmental design, architecture, visual communication or related field

  • 5-8 yearsof experience in signage, wayfinding, and environmental graphic design capacity with an architecture or design firm

  • Experiencewithconcept design through implementation of code signage, wayfinding signage and environmental graphics design for projects of all scales

  • Experience with programming signage within Revit

  • Familiarity with architectural construction documents, scales, sections, plans and elevations; proficiency in drawing in scale

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with understanding of room numbering, user journeys with relation to navigation, building code requirements and design standards

  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail

  • High level of professionalism and strong sense of urgency

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Sketch Up

  • Familiarity with CAD and Revit preferred

  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office

  • Ability to work with minimal guidance; proactive, motivated, self-starter

  • Ability to effectively prioritize with strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of the firm, clients, and subcontractors

  • Nice to have: Familiarity and drive to learn and implement the latest and greatest software, technologies and workflows including a working understanding of AI for asset creation, workflow and research.

  • Nice to have: UX/UI and wireframing software: Figma, Miro Prototype Pro or similar

  • Nice to have: Video Editing: Premier, After Effects, Final Cut Pro or similar is a strong advantage
