Job description

We are seeking an Interior Designer to support the design and execution of financial institution and commercial interior projects. This role blends client advisory, spatial planning, and technical drawing production.
The ideal candidate can take limited or evolving client input and translate it into thoughtful, compliant, and visually cohesive design solutions. This individual must be comfortable guiding decisions when scope details are missing while ensuring designs remain practical, secure, and construction ready.
Projects will primarily focus on banking environments, including branch modernizations and interior upgrades, with occasional support across other commercial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design Strategy & Client Advisory
  • Lead branch design vision from concept through execution.
  • Guide financial institutions in defining look, feel, and customer experience.
  • Interpret limited or evolving scope and propose clear, practical solutions.
  • Align interiors with brand standards while modernizing environments.
  • Present design concepts, finishes, and layout options to stakeholders.
  • Interior Architectural Design
  • Develop branch layouts that optimize customer flow and operational efficiency.
  • Design teller lines, TCR placement, ATM integration, secure zones, and consultation areas.
  • Ensure compliance with ADA, security protocols, and commercial building standards.
  • Balance aesthetics with constructability and budget constraints.
  • Technical Production
  • Produce 2D and 3D drawings (plans, elevations, renderings).
  • Develop detailed finish packages and material specifications.
  • Create layout options and visualization packages for decision making.
  • Prepare construction ready drawing sets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with project managers and Sales executives.
  • Adjust designs based on field conditions and real-world constraints.
  • Support multi-site rollout programs when required.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Core Competencies
  • Strong spatial planning and layout optimization skills
  • Ability to confidently "design ahead" when scope or direction is incomplete.
  • Understanding of financial institution design (teller lines, TCR placement, ATM integration, secure zones).
  • Knowledge of commercial interior build standards.
  • Detail-oriented with strong construction awareness.
  • Client-facing confidence and advisory capability.
  • Strong balance of creativity and technical precision.
  • Clear communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial or financial interior design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit (required).
  • Experience producing construction ready drawing sets.
  • Familiarity with ADA compliance and commercial building codes.
  • Portfolio demonstrating banking, retail, or commercial projects.
  • Ability to manage projects independently.
