JOB DESCRIPTION 

Summary/Objective 

The Supervisor, Inside Sales directs and delegates activity within the Inside Sales Team. This position is responsible for providing support to team members to ensure they meet or exceed their individual and team sales goals.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain and develop partnerships with dealers and finance companies to be strong promoters of Spartan.
  • Supervise team of at least 3 Inside Sales Representatives as assigned, including coaching, development, performance management and development assessment
  • Establish training guidelines
  • Trains and familiarizes new sales representatives with established policies, practices, products and services
  • Implements sales plans and special promotions in the achievement of inside sales goals as related to strategic plan
  • Prepares regular and special reports reflecting activity and results of the inside sales goals
  • Troubleshoots complex problems, identifying issues and resolving problems
  • Perform advanced research of issues
  • Works on escalated problems of a complex nature involving analysis of situations or data requiring a review of a variety of factors
  • Make recommendations to improve results
  • Responsible for disciplinary actions when appropriate
  • Perform staff evaluations and reviews
  • Accountable for the overall success of their assigned Inside Sales Teams.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5 + years of experience in a collection and or sales environment, or 5 + years of experience in Finance and Insurance
  • Proven leadership capability
  • Ability to navigate and operate within the Windows System
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled negotiator
  • Must be able to work at a desk for long durations
  • Strong customer service and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to multi-task 
  • Strong attention to detail

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will directly supervise a team of inside sales rep and support functions. 

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or 9 am to 6 pm. 

Travel

Occasional travel is expected for this position.
