Position Overview

Telum  is looking for Spanish speaking UAV Pilot Instructors for a pending contract in the Republic of Ecuador. This is a short-term contract.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pilot Instructors must speak, write and read in Spanish.
  • US military Veteran preferred.
  • Capable to live in semi-austere conditions.
  • Must have a US Passport and be a Citizen of the USA.
  • At least 2 years experience operating and maintaining Group 3 UASs.

About the Position

  • Provide system training to Ecuadorian Navy Personnel, resulting in a minimum of 12 personnel certified as both Pilots and Maintainers on the UAS.
  • Training will be executed in Ecuador, at a suitable location determined by DoS/INL and ECUNAV.
  • The training will be executed in Spanish. All training and operation materials (training documents, operator manuals, system publications, etc.) shall be provided in Spanish.
  • Pilot Instructors will receive train-the-trainer instruction at the manufacturer's facility.
  • Will be required to perform quality control of the COI, in Spanish.
  • Platform to be used is a DoD Group 3 Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). The manufacturer describes it as a Group-3 VTOL/CTOL platform designed for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), and related missions.
  • Configuration: Convertible VTOL/CTOL (Vertical Takeoff and Landing / Conventional Takeoff and Landing) fixed-wing UAV
