The Edgewater Spa is Madison’s Place for whole-body well-being. Our waterfront salon and spa offers a full range of services in a luxurious, lakeside environment—all delivered by professionally trained health and wellness professionals. Whether your client is a local resident booking a spa day or a resort guest looking for a quick treatment, we offer something for everyone. From massages and facials, group fitness classes and personal training, we invite our guests to come for an hour or stay for the day. If they’re looking for rejuvenation and relaxation, this is the place.

What We Accomplish Together

If you enjoy the rejuvenating work environment of a spa and have exceptional customer service skills, the Spa Attendant position is the job for you. Spa Attendants play a very important role in the overall functions of the Edgewater Spa. You will be responsible for knowing all services and amenities, greeting guests with a welcoming demeanor, conducting tours of the spa and fitness center, maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility, along with ensuring products are stocked and filled. The Edgewater demands the highest quality of customer service, and the Spa Attendant position reflects that in interaction with the spa guests throughout their spa and/or fitness experience. In addition, the Spa Attendant plays a supportive role as hotel concierge for the Langdon Building of The Edgewater Hotel. The Spa Attendant position is where your hard work ethic and exceptional customer service skills are appreciated and recognized by both the guests and The Edgewater Team.

What You Have

  • Previous guest service experience. Experience within a luxury spa or hospitality role is a plus.
  • Previous Spa booker software experience is a plus.
  • The physical ability to carry out all job duties efficiently.
  • A caring, hard-working, outgoing individual who is able to meet/exceed customer expectations.
  • A team-oriented attitude and a detail-focused mind.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the desire to work in a team environment.
  • A flexible schedule to accommodate our evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
  • The ability to stay on your feet while restocking our fitness and spa locker room facilities, folding towels and spa robes, and completing general housekeeping/cleaning assignments in the Spa areas of operation.

Working Conditions

This position operates in a full-service spa and professional office environment. The role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines and standard spa equipment, such as care products, massage table linens, cleaning equipment and supplies. This position requires some evening/weekend work.

The employee must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
