The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is in the famed Deer Valley ski resort and approximately 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport.  The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is part of a new development, planned to incorporate 17 ski lifts, 1,600 residential units, 8 hotels with a total of 1,350 rooms, 250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the largest "ski beaches" in the world.

Position Title: Spa Reception Agent - Part Time

Position Summary:

The Spa Receptionist serves as the ambassador of the spa experience, fostering an atmosphere of calm, relaxation, and exceptional guest care. As the first and final point of contact for guests, this role is responsible for managing reservations, scheduling treatments, checking guests in and out, processing payments, and providing knowledgeable recommendations on spa services and retail products. The Spa Receptionist delivers outstanding guest service, promotes wellness, supports spa revenue opportunities, and ensures each guest enjoys a seamless and memorable spa experience from arrival through departure. This position reports to the Spa Manager.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

       Complete daily opening, shift-change, and closing checklists accurately.

       Opening and Closing the spa reception & spa amenities.

       Greet all guests with a friendly, calm, and professional demeanor.      

       Manage appointment bookings, confirmations, and cancellations efficiently via phone, in person, & email.

       Monitor daily appointment schedules and assist with maximizing provider utilization and treatment room occupancy.

       Post updated appointments to our provider channel to ensure proper communication within the spa reception & spa providers team.

       Communicate special guest requests, preferences, allergies, and concerns to spa providers and leadership.

       Check guests in and out of Agaci Spa.

       Give guests tours of Agaci Spa locker rooms/facilities.

       Handle guest amenity preparation and special occasion arrangements when applicable.

       Answer guest questions about Agaci Spa, Spa menu or retail items.

       Resolve guest concerns and service recovery situations professionally and promptly.

       Process payments, and handle billing inquiries, and generate invoices for guests' spa services and retail purchases.

       Upsell spa services, enhancements, packages, and retail products to meet spa revenue goals.

       Provide knowledgeable recommendations on spa treatments and retail products.

       Maintain knowledge of current spa promotions, services, pricing, policies, and facility updates.

       Maintain a clean, organized, and tranquil front desk and lobby area. (no personal items in view of guests)

       Support the spa team in ensuring a seamless and relaxing guest experience.

       Assist spa attendants with tidiness of locker rooms and waiting areas, help with attendant laundry/supplies, as needed.

       Assist with inventory counts, retail stock replenishment, and reporting low inventory levels to management.

       Keep Retail shelfs stocked & clean at all times.

       Sweep and Mop the lobby/reception area as needed.

       Assist spa providers with room flips as needed when providers don't have enough time to flip on their own or last-minute schedule changes.

       Work close with spa attendants and spa providers to ensure a relaxing guest experience.

       Ensure compliance with all spa, hotel, health, safety, and sanitation standards.

       Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

       Promote wellness and self-care through thoughtful communication and service.

Physical Requirements

       Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.

       Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 20 pounds occasionally.

       Ability to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive motions as needed.

       Ability to operate standard office equipment, computers, telephones, POS systems, and reservation software.
