Job description

Concern Housing is seeking a Program Director. The Director is responsible for all aspects of the CR-SRO Program development and operations, as well as compliance with state and federal regulations.

Days/Hours: Monday - Friday; 9am - 5pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of the Supervisor, Service Coordinators, Counselors, and all other positions, as necessary, as well as staff scheduling.
  • On site supervision of cooks, administrative assistant and maintenance staff.
  • Weekly individual and group supervisory meetings.
  • Perform periodic evaluations and participate in hiring and dismissing staff.
  • All intake procedures, including screening of applicants and reporting to the Single Point of Access (SPA).
  • Compliance with NYSOMH and SPA procedures.
  • Maintain program occupancy rates.
  • Compliance with LIHTC and AHP regulations, including eligibility determination, annual certifications and any other reporting requirements, as necessary.
  • Cooperation with the Property Management department re: site maintenance and safety issues, as well as the accounting department.
  • Crisis Intervention (including 24/7 cell phone coverage).
  • Coordination of coverage in times of staff turnover.
  • Collaboration with other housing providers through committees, special projects, etc., as well as community outreach.
  • Responsible for assisting staff and clients with issues related to securing and maintaining entitlement income.
  • Remain current with all Agency required compliance documents and trainings.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Operations.

Qualifications: Masters Degree in Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling or other related field. Minimum of five (5) years experience working in a residential setting with similar populations. Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience or training.
