Job description

Job Summary
A Mountain Market Associate will provide friendly and efficient service, while maintaining a superior guest experience at the resort market. He or she will assist guests with purchases, process payments, and operate the point of sale system, perform stocking duties and maintain store cleanliness and upkeep, among other duties.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Offer friendly service to our customers by responding to their needs and being available to answer questions, ensuring a memorable shopping experience.
  • Perform stocking duties, such as lifting, proper product rotation, dusting, fronting and facing of products.
  • Maintain product knowledge and be able to suggest products to our customers when appropriate.
  • Operate cash register: process payments, balance drawer and possess an understanding of proper bank and drop procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of safety and sanitation guidelines being followed, assist in making sure these are being completed daily.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas.
  • Ensure freezers and coolers are maintained at the appropriate temperatures, assist with daily temperature checks and maintain temperature logs.
  • Assist with processing and fulfilling specialty programs, such as "Fill Your Fridge" and Gift Baskets.
  • Ensure soups, pantry, and salad bar items are ready at appropriate times, while following proper serve safe guidelines.
  • Ensure product is properly tagged with proper pricing.
  • Ensure product dates are being checked, remove outdated product from sales floor, and follow the proper process for recording and discarding product waste.
  • Work with direct Supervisor, Assistant Manager and Manager on daily tasks.
  • Report low inventory levels, receive product deliveries, and confirm the accuracy of orders and invoices.
  • Sign and adhere to the uniform policy set in place.
  • Open/Close retail shop as scheduled.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical & Other Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.
  • Must have excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration.
  • Non-smoking candidates preferred.
