    The Salon Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the overall operation, leadership, and performance of The Salon at. This role assists in managing daily operations, employee engagement, guest satisfaction, service standards, revenue generation, and departmental compliance while ensuring an exceptional luxury experience for every guest.

    The Assistant Manager serves as a leadership presence within the Salon, providing guidance and support to service providers, reception staff, and salon support team members. This position is expected to foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and Forbes Five-Star service while supporting the achievement of departmental goals and operational objectives. Responsibilities align with Wynn's Spa and Salon leadership expectations, including maintaining service standards, supporting employee development, ensuring guest satisfaction, and assisting with the daily operation of the department.     Essential Job Responsibilities

    Leadership & Team Development

    • Support the day-to-day operations of The Salon and act as the Manager on Duty during assigned shifts.
    • Lead by example through consistent demonstration of Wynn Resorts and Forbes Five-Star service standards.
    • Assist with coaching, mentoring, and developing salon team members to achieve individual and departmental goals.
    • Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment that promotes employee engagement and accountability.
    • Participate in recruitment, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and retention efforts for salon personnel. Wynn Spa leadership supports hiring practices and identifying exceptional talent to create a strong service culture.
    • Assist with scheduling, payroll review, attendance management, and workforce planning.
    • Conduct performance discussions, training sessions, and regular team communications that support employee growth and operational excellence.

    Guest Experience & Service Excellence

    • Ensure all guests receive personalized service consistent with Forbes Five-Star and Wynn Resorts luxury hospitality standards.
    • Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly while managing service recovery opportunities to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
    • Anticipate guest needs and ensure associates provide attentive, personalized experiences throughout the guest journey.
    • Monitor guest feedback and identify opportunities to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
    • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all salon services, products, promotions, and resort amenities to support guest recommendations and revenue growth.

    Operations Management

    • Oversee opening and closing procedures and ensure salon readiness throughout operating hours. Spa leadership responsibilities include ensuring proper opening and closing procedures are maintained.
    • Monitor appointment flow, staffing levels, and service delivery to maximize productivity and guest satisfaction.
    • Ensure compliance with all sanitation, safety, health, and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards throughout all salon areas.
    • Partner with Spa leadership and other resort departments to coordinate operational needs and special events.
    • Assist with inventory management, purchasing controls, retail merchandising, and supply management responsibilities. Spa leadership is responsible for inventory and operational supply oversight.

    Financial & Business Performance

    • Support departmental financial objectives through labor management, operational efficiencies, and service optimization.
    • Assist in monitoring payroll, scheduling, and labor expenses. Spa leadership responsibilities include assisting with labor and payroll management.
    • Help drive retail sales and service revenue through employee engagement, training, and guest-focused recommendations.
    • Monitor departmental performance metrics and implement action plans to improve results.
    • Assist with achieving annual business objectives and departmental revenue goals.

    Compliance & Administrative Duties

    • Ensure all licenses, certifications, work cards, and departmental compliance requirements remain current.
    • Maintain department records, reports, and operational documentation.
    • Support implementation of company policies, departmental procedures, and service initiatives.
    • Attend required meetings, leadership development programs, and training sessions.
    • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Salon leadership.
    Qualifications
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Spa Management, or related field preferred.
    • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a luxury salon, spa, hospitality, or resort environment required.
    • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
    • Experience working in a Forbes-rated, luxury hospitality, or high-end salon environment strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Wynn Spa leadership roles require managing competing priorities and operational demands.
    • Proficiency with scheduling systems, point-of-sale platforms, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
