What you will have an opportunity to do:

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Plan and administer direct sales programs, develop new business sources, manage existing accounts and build productive relationships within assigned territories promoting Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa as a high level resort ultimately resulting in Food & Beverage and Room Night Revenues.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNTIONS

Focus on selling local market corporate meetings, weddings of up to 250 guests or and social events of 300 guests or less to meet and exceed departmental goals.

Maintain profitable operations and high quality products and service levels

The ability to multi-task while working in a fast paced, high volume environment with a "can do" attitude.

Thorough knowledge of sales techniques and enjoy asking for business and closing sales.

Approach sales in an organized and strategic manner. Develop system for tracing requests and/or business opportunities and following up on a timely basis.

Conduct enthusiastic site visits with potential clients and local event planners

Act as a liaison between client and departments to ensure a successful meeting/social event and to generate repeat business.

Detail and coordinate all aspects of the event; working in conjunction with all resort departments to deliver a superb guest experience

Act as point of contact on event date for contracted weddings

Demonstrate creative capabilities while executing innovative catering functions for all groups

Maintain consistent verbal and written communication with clients.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

4 year degree from college in business related field, preferred

2-3 years experience in selling weddings, social events and corporate events and/or meeting planning in a high volume environment, required

Strong background in selling Rooms, F&B, Catering, Meeting Rooms, and A/V.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Great communication and organization skills

Team player who works well with other departments as well as on their own, requiring little supervision

Microsoft Office Suite experience, required

Delphi / Amadeus experience, preferred
