Description

Position Overview

Responsible for packing, shipping, and receiving all products produced by performing the following duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reads Bill of Lading to confirm proper product and amount to be loaded.
  • Weighs in empty trucks accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Loads proper product and amount per the Bill of Lading from Inventory.
  • Weighs trucks out after loading and records all information accurately. Communicates effectively with management to ensure efficient operation.
  • Maintains clean work environment in the shipping and receiving areas.
  • Fixes leaks when noticed and utilizing proper PPE.
  • Cleans all spills immediately when noticed.
  • Operates industrial fork truck/bobcat to load products.
  • Take accurate inventories of the bins, silos and warehouse as directed
  • Receives and loads out soybeans at the downtown elevator as directed by management
  • Follows all GMP requirements
  • Report any food safety or quality issues immediately to a supervisor or member of Quality Assurance
  • Other duties and responsibilities as may be

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with operating menu driven programs and a computer mouse.
  • Valid Driver's License

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and climb stairs. The employee is occasionally required to balance stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift, move, push, or pull up to 25 pounds, frequently lift, move, push, or pull up to 55 pounds, occasionally lift, move, push, or pull up to 100 pounds, and occasionally push or pull more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
