Job description

Diesel Mechanic 

Southwest Mobile Storage is the Southwest's leading provider of portable storage, mobile office solutions, and custom container services. As a family-owned company with over 30 years of success, we take pride in doing the right thing the right way for our customers and our employees.

We're looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic who takes pride in their work and wants to build a long-term career with a stable, growing company. If you're a dependable troubleshooter who enjoys working with a variety of equipment and vehicles, we'd love to meet you. (Pay $30-$40)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs on trucks and other motor vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Conduct routine vehicle maintenance and inspections to keep the fleet in optimal condition.
  • Change tires and perform other necessary repairs as needed.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to test and troubleshoot vehicle components.
  • Complete quality inspections on vehicles before they are returned to service.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership. 


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Fleet Mechanic, or similar role.

  • Knowledge of diesel engines, vehicle systems, and shop equipment.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

  • Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to quality workmanship.

  • Valid driver's license preferred.
