Job description

Salary:

Purpose


The Pipe Layer is responsible for safely installing water, sanitary and storm water sewer structures, and pipe systems. We are hiring for jobs in the Northern Kentucky, Central Kentucky, Southern Indiana, and Greater Louisville area.


Job Responsibilities

  • Determine grade of trenching using tools including lasers and transit levels.
  • Grade and level trench bases to place pipe in.
  • Lay, align, and position sections of pipe.
  • Make connections to lines including sewer lines, water lines, and storm sewers.
  • Check slopes for confirmation to requirements.
  • Cut, fit, and seal various types of piping.


Education and Experience

  • Experience in operating cutting equipment to cut various types of piping materials.
  • Experience using laser levels preferred.
  • 10-hour OSHA and Confined Space training preferred.


Skills and Specifications

  • Ability to think logically about work at hand and compare site conditions with project designs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience working in a team environment.
