Job description

Southeast Connections, LLC provides inclusive infrastructure solutions for the natural gas industry. Position Overview:

Truck drivers work on a crew or out of a yard delivering equipment and materials to and from job sites as well as working on job sites. Performs duties as directed by foreman while operating any or all of the following equipment: backhoe, excavator, vibratory or static plows, trenchers or directional bore machines in the installation, removal or maintenance of underground utilities and pipe installation.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure correct cargo makes it safely to its destination on schedule and appropriate paperwork is completed.
  • Assisting crews by working on job site performing various labor-intensive tasks such as hand digging, operating, fusion (depending on qualifications) and clean up
  • Skilled worker who possess the required knowledge, skill, and physical ability to perform construction and maintenance duties related to the natural gas industry
  • Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the job and operate within a short time frame as needed
  • Must have personal characteristics suitable for making contacts with customers and the public
  • Must work well with others
  • Must follow all safety policies and safety procedures per Southeast Connections, LLC standards and the utility customer
  • Load material or equipment for transport from show-up yard to job site and secure as appropriate secure work site, equipment and materials at the end of each shift to ensure public safety and safety of equipment and materials

Qualifications:

Education Preferred: High school diploma or GED

Experience Required: 3 years prior operating experience, knowledge of commercial driving regulations with ability to maneuver truck

Required: Class A CDL valid drivers license with combination vehicle and air brake endorsement

as well as a clean driving record and current medical card. Strong work ethic and

willingness to work in a team environment. Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Adaptability

and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
